Courtepointe Québec Quilts Courtepointe Quebec Quilts owns 40 quilt racks that are available to the guilds of the Quebec province. To reserve the racks, please read carefully the following protocol and fill out the Quilt Racks Reservation Form.
Quilt Racks Reservation Protocol** Dates Reservation requests must be received by September 1st for the Fall exhibitions, and by February 1st for the Spring exhibitions. Fee A $10 refundable deposit per rack is required. For guilds having at least 30% of their members also belonging to C.Q.Q., there is no other cost than the refundable deposit. (If you do not know how many of your members also belong to C.Q.Q., the contact person of your guild may ask the C.Q.Q. registrar.) For guilds having less than 30% of their members also
belonging to C.Q.Q., there is a non-refundable fee of $15 per missing person, on
top of the deposit of $10 per rack. Membership is highly recommended in this
case. Racks pick-up and return The racks are stored in a warehouse near Jacques-Cartier bridge in Montreal. The pick-up and the return of the racks are solely the responsibility of the borrowing guild, and we ask that the return be made promptly. The racks must be returned in the same good condition as they were when picked-up otherwise the refund of the deposit will be refused. Transport of the racks The 40 racks weight a total of one ton (2000 lbs) and there are many 9 feet long pieces. One or more vans are needed to transport all the racks. A moving truck can be rented on the spot (the cost for that rental is the guild's responsibility.) Man power is also needed and should be planned for. Racks assembly C.Q.Q. provides instructions for the assembly of the racks. These instructions are available at the warehouse, but you may also download and print them by clicking here: Assembly Instructions Information For information about the reservation of quilt racks, please contact Mrs. Johanna Dupont.
** This reservation protocol may change without notice. C.Q.Q. tries to update and keep this web page as accurate as possible. |
